Our Basic Prayers

PLEASE READ: https://reginite.com/introduction-to-our-basic-beliefs/

Our prayer section consists mainly of our prayers to the Christian Divine Feminine. We also include, in our daily and liturgical practice, prayers and hymns from all Christian sources.

Tracing the Sign of the Fora (the Solar Cross):

This may be performed in two ways. The Long and the Short Form.

Hold forefinger, middle finger and thumb together, while hold down ring and pinkie finger:

Short Form: Touch forehead and say: in the Name of the Father; touch solar plexus and say: and of the Mother; touch right shoulder and say: and of the Christ; touch left shoulder and say: and Sophia, circle heart chakra and say: and of the Great Mother. Amen.

Long Form: In Orthodox Christianity, there are times when it is customary to trace the sign of the cross three times in honor of each Person of the Trinity.

In our Long Form, we trace the sign of the cross twice:

Touch forehead and solar plexus and say: in the Name of the Mother;  touch right shoulder and then left shoulder say: and of the Daughter; circle heart chakra and say: and of the Great Mother.

Touch forehead and solar plexus and say: in the Name of the Father;  touch right shoulder and then left shoulder say: and of the Son; circle heart chakra and say: and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

PRAYERS

Prayers that have been adapted from the original Madrian are so indicated.

Please see our How to Make and Pray a Chaplet page: (Link to page coming soon).

Blessed is Our Mother God: (Adapted from the Madrian)

Blessed is Our Mother God, the Holy One.

She Who is Mari       ( She is Aletheia Sophia)

She Who is Zoe        (She is Zoe Sophia),

She Who is Sige       (She is Sige/’Barbelo),

Dark beyond the light and Light beyond the darkness. Blessed is She.

The Thrice Holy Prayer also known as the Trisagion (in honor of the Divine Masculine). It is traditionally changed or sung three times while tracing the sign of the cross three times:

Holy, God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.

The Our Father:

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us away from temptation and deliver us from evil. Amen. (From one of the Peshitta translations).

Silver Star of the Waters: (Adapted from the original Madrian, author unknown. This is our Divine Feminine counter-part to the Our Father. While we believe that the Father and the Mother are co-Creators of the Cosmos, this prayer is specifically addressing the Creative Role of Our Heavenly Mother).

Silver Star of the Waters Who has fashioned all the cosmos into being beyond all knowing is the Splendour of Your Light. Enfold my spirit, within Your mighty Mantle, and may the Pure Stream of Your Grace flow within me, in this world and in all the worlds to come. Amen.

For those coming from Catholic and Goddess Christian backgrounds, the Hail, Mary is the Divine Feminine prayer of the Church, traditionally prayed in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Here and in our rosaries, we honor Our Divine Mother God, Dea in our adaptations of the prayer.

Please note that we pray an updated version of the Traditional Hail, Mary.

The Hail, Dea in Five Forms for the Three Times of Prayer

Prayer of Eternity: (Adapted from the Madrian)

Eternal is the Light of the Mother.

Eternal is the Love of the Daughter.

Eternal is the Life of of the Great Mother,

And Glorious is the Eternity of Dea.

The Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, amen. (Here the Holy Spirit is not the Dove in the Bible Who sends the Gifts, here the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father.)

Grace Before Meals: (Adapted from the Madrian)

Lord and Lady of all Nature, we thank Thee for the gifts of Thy Creation. May this food be blessed in the Name of the Father, and of the Mother, and of the Christ and Sophia. Amen.

Reflection Prayer:  (Adapted from the Madrian, author unknown. This is our prayer of repentance.)

Madria Dea, we are Your true children now and Eternally; May our hearts turn from all transient things, that we live in service to others rather than service to self and guided by the Holy Daughter, return to Perfect Union with You.
