Gift of Our Holy Mother Spirit: Understanding.

Fruit of Our Holy Mother Spirit for the Month of Flora: Joy.

Symbol of the Day: The Moon, which represents the Holy Daughter, She Who is the Supernal Moon. The Holy Daughter is the Gentle Reflection of the Bright Light of the Supernal Sun, She Who is Our Heavenly Mother.

Archeia of the Day: Archeia Bath Kol (who was mistakenly listed as the angel of Sunnadi/Sunday. Our apologies.) We assign her the title of Archeia, or female archangel, because she is above the angels.

She is known as the highest angel beneath the Holy Spirit, Our Holy Mother Spirit.  Her name means Heavenly Voice or the Daughter of Voice. She is the Angel of Prophecy. In the Old Testament, She is symbolized by a dove. She is said to have appeared to both Simeon Ben Yohai, the reputed author of the Zohar and Nicolas Flamel of the Philosopher Stone fame. In the Talmud, She is said to be the Heavenly Voice of God. Some equate her with the Holy Spirit while others say she is lower than the Holy Spirit, an angel.

Part II:

Jesus called the Holy Spirit, His Mother.

Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as His Mother.

When it comes to angels and Spirits, there is no reason to believe they are genderless. Until recent times, gender was defined as a Principle or State of Being. It is not to be confused with biological sex. Therefore, all Intelligent Beings/Persons are capable of having the Principle and State of Being as either Female or Male.

Many theologians teach that Father God is genderless, but Jesus clearly revealed Him to be Father, just as He revealed the Holy Spirit to be His Mother, as we shall shortly see, through the Lost Gospel of the Hebrews. The Lost Gospel of the Hebrews is not to be confused with the Epistle to the Hebrews.

There have been many important documents lost to Christianity. We know about them because they are quoted by the early Church Fathers. One such lost document is the lost Gospel of the Hebrews. This Gospel is said to be of the Jewish Christians, who considered themselves to be under James, the brother of Jesus.

The earliest date given the Gospel is the middle of the first century, the latest possible date, the middle of the second century. Texts considered to be contemporaneous with the Gospel of the Hebrews includes the Gospel of Luke; the Acts of the Apostles; 1 Clement; the Christian Sibyllines,  the Book of Revelation, the Gospel of John and 1 John. It has been stated that the loss of the Gospel of the Hebrews was a great loss as it probably would shed light on the leadership of James. This article lists those Church Fathers who quoted from the Gospel of the Hebrews: (see 1).

It has been stated that this Gospel, if ever found, might contain the true Christian Tradition of Jesus, Himself, and that of His brother, James,which was that of Jewish Christianity. And rather than Peter, James may possibly have been the first leader of the Church. James was the head (or bishop) of the Church in Jerusalem until his martyrdom in A. D. 62.  The subsequent Fall of Jerusalem took place in A. D. 70.

The fragments contain traditions of Jesus’ pre-existenceincarnationbaptism, and probable temptation, along with some of his sayings.[3] Distinctive features include a Christology characterized by the belief that the Holy Spirit is Jesus’ Divine Mother and a first resurrection appearance to James, the brother of Jesus, showing a high regard for James as the leader of the Jewish Christian church in Jerusalem.[4] It was probably composed in Greek in the first decades of the 2nd century, and is believed to have been used by Greek-speaking Jewish Christians in Egypt during that century. 

Modern scholars classify the Gospel of the Hebrews as one of the three Jewish–Christian gospels, along with the Gospel of the Nazarenes and the Gospel of the Ebionites. Others suggest that these three titles may have been referring to one and the same book.(3)

Fragment 1 identifies Jesus as the son of the Holy Spirit; this idea is found also in the Egyptian Coptic Epistle of James, another indication of the Egyptian origin of the gospel.[n 5]

2. And it came to pass when the Lord was come up out of the water, the whole fount of the Holy Spirit descended upon him and rested on him and said to him: My Son, in all the prophets was I waiting for thee that thou shouldest come and I might rest in thee. For thou art my rest; thou art my first-begotten Son that reignest for ever. (JeromeCommentary on Isaiah 4) (3)

Fragment 2 uses the language of Jewish Wisdom literature,[n 6] but applies it to the Holy Spirit: the Spirit has waited in vain through all the prophets for the Son. The “rest” that the Holy Spirit finds in the Son belongs to the Christian gnostic idea of the pre-existent Redeemer who finally becomes incarnate in Jesus.[20]

3. Even so did my Mother, the Holy Spirit, take me by one of my hairs and carry me away on to the great mountain Tabor.(OrigenCommentary on John 2.12.87) (3)

The theology of the gospel is strongly influenced by Jewish–Christian wisdom teaching. The Holy Spirit is represented as a manifestation of Divine Wisdom who is called “Mother”.[n 12] (3)

From the Gospel of Philip (Meyer):

Some said Mary became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. They are wrong and do not know what they are saying. When did a woman ever get pregnant by a woman?

Mary is the virgin whom none of the powers defiled.

The Consecration Prayer of the early Syrian Church invoked the Holy Spirit as Mother. It is important to note that they did not believe the Holy Spirit was Female. (Please see B). 

The Sophia is also invoked in the first prayer of consecration.[14] She is there called the “merciful mother,” the “consort of the masculine one,” “revealant of the perfect mysteries,” “Mother of the Seven Houses,” “who finds rest in the eighth house,” i.e. in the Ogdoad. In the second Prayer of Consecration[15] she is also designated, the “perfect Mercy” and “Consort of the Masculine One,” but is also called “Holy Spirit” (Syriac Rūha d’ Qudshā) “Revealant of the Mysteries of the whole Magnitude,” “hidden Mother,” “She who knows the Mysteries of the Elect,” and “she who partakes in the conflicts of the noble Agonistes” (i.e. of Christ, cf. exc. ex Theod. 58 ho megas agōnistēs Iēsous).

There is further a direct reminiscence of the doctrine of Bardesanes when she is invoked as the Holy Dove which has given birth to the two twins, i.e. the two daughters of the Rūha d’ Qudshā (ap. Ephraim, Hymn 55). (4)

Here is the Eucharistic Prayer of the ancient Syrian Church:

[An invocation to the Spirit in the context of the Eucharist.] . . . Come, hidden Mother . . . come, and make us share in this Eucharist which we perform in Your name, and [make us share] in the love to which we are joined by invoking You. [The Syriac again removes the reference to the Spirit as ‘Mother’.]

§133 [In the course of a trinitarian invocation in the context of the Eucharist.] We name over you [the newly baptised] the name of the Mother. I love the idea that the ancient Syrians believed that the Holy Spirit (Dove) hovering over the Waters of Creation, was the prototype of the actions of Our Holy Mother Spirit during both the Annunciation and the Eucharist. The Sacrament of the Eucharist takes place through the actions and the Power of the Holy Spirit, Our Holy Mother Spirit…as was recognized by the ancient Syrians before Her Gender was changed to Male in the 500’s.
